Martin, it depends what you want to use them for. For personal use I have suggested to people that a donation to TCT is quite acceptable, although the ones on the Flickr website are low resolution (and therefore look a bit pants!)

If you want them at a large size or quality then if you email me with some details of the proposed use then I can let you know.

From the results page, there's a link to andyaseven's photos on flickr. What's the deal in using some of the photos on my web site - I guess I need andyaseven's permission - anything else?

That front tyre does look a little stationary doesnt it! :-)

Jonathan Miller on Wednesday, November 19, 2008 at 10:32:27

Presumably the result of this lock up? Nice pics though.

Bunter on Wednesday, November 19, 2008 at 10:29:37

It's no good.......I just can't see where i am going wearing that mask :-(

Bish on Tuesday, November 18, 2008 at 20:50:26

Is that you up to your neck in dirt again Bish??

Dave Pearson on Tuesday, November 18, 2008 at 20:31:31

Oooops!

Bishblush on Tuesday, November 18, 2008 at 20:23:23

I know we have Classics, Supers and Megas, but when did we start Off-Roading!! :-)

Jonathan Miller on Tuesday, November 18, 2008 at 19:15:28

Anyone interested in a set of wheels with slicks on? Basically Avon slicks as used on superlites. They have done 3 qualifying sessions, one session at Donnington on our track day and two races - Sports and Saloons - One win and a black flag whilst leading! Unfortunately the grip threw fuel out of the tank on the Stowe circuit! Lap times on Stowe were 3 secs a lap faster than CR500's! So very quick! Great for trackdays and despite what people, say never had an oil surge problem. Oiro £200? Fesey. Will post on for sale asap.

Mike Fesemeyer on Tuesday, November 18, 2008 at 17:04:51

Thanks.

Dave Pearson on Tuesday, November 18, 2008 at 17:04:43

My Brian James Minno is now sold. I would remove it from the For Sale page myself, but as i'm not yet signed up for 2009 (either socially or otherwise), i can't! Jamie? Can you remove it please?

Dave Pearson on Tuesday, November 18, 2008 at 16:27:58

Tim: Wow!

Andiih on Tuesday, November 18, 2008 at 14:28:34

A total long shot this, but is any one out there looking to sell on a set of the black spoke CC wheels? Am not too fussy on the condition they are in. Cheers . TC. 07809378509

Have you seen Flick drive to work in hers?!!

Andrew Vickers on Tuesday, November 18, 2008 at 00:10:25

Anyone know where I can learn to smoke like this, please?

Tim GO on Monday, November 17, 2008 at 21:16:33

Grads on Wikipedia: We aren't! Although we do have a link to this site from the Caterham Cars' entry. I think we should have an entry and I'm thinking of having a go at putting a page together, but thought I would check here first to see if anyone else might already be drafting one, or is mad keen to have a go instead of me?
Let me know!

Mon 17th Nov. 2008 Social Members can now get access to enrol for 2009 Racing Membership!

Nick Frost chairman at graduates dot org dot uk on Monday, November 17, 2008 at 00:10:33

I'd try Redline Flick...generally the same price, you don't have so far to go and nice blokes...that's if no-one on here has one! Redline 01883 346515 or...Do arch produce the tanks??

cat on Friday, November 14, 2008 at 16:51:27

You'll need to change your gearbox too I think slicky ;-)

Mark Roberts on Friday, November 14, 2008 at 15:54:45

Just a question about fuel tanks for a classic - where is the best place to buy one? Direct from caterham or can i get one cheaper elsewhere?? If i am changing the tank do i need to change the sender gasket? or whatever its called?
Thank you!!

Slick imprezaflick@yahoo.co.uk on Friday, November 14, 2008 at 15:05:56

Well done Pete. Very deserved! We had many close dices through the season but the only "messy" bit was Anglesey and that was my fault!! Congrats!!

Terry Palmer on Friday, November 14, 2008 at 11:56:20

Apologies for this very, very belated posting but I now have sobered up.

I would like to thank the driving standards committee for awarding me the Ben Vickers Memorial Award at last weeks dinner dance. It is a great honour and it has pride of place in our living room in full view of anyone entering. Being awarded it was a complete surprise, in fact I was thrilled, astounded and astonished (not necessarily in that order but all at the same time!). Thankfully, I didn't have to say an acceptance speech otherwise it would have come out in an incomprehensible garble. Having never won, or been awarded, anything in my life I am extremely chuffed to bits. It was also a pleasure meeting Ben's father after the awards; what a nice guy. He turns up at each year's dinner dance to meet the driver who get's the trophy. Thank you all again.

George: Just make sure you shout only provisionally loudly...

NF chair on Thursday, November 13, 2008 at 23:56:52

Rockingham, Croft, Pembrey, Brands, Snetterton:
Permission to shout "Bravo" at an annoyingly loud volume, sir?

George on Thursday, November 13, 2008 at 20:50:10

bode, forebode, forebade?

Punc on Thursday, November 13, 2008 at 20:48:14

If anyone who bidded (bade?) for Jamie's Teng Tools but was unsuccessful would still like a set, drop me a mail. I'm not donating to charity (I'm too tight) so please offer accordingly!

Graduates Racing 2009 - enrolment now open!
And already, after less than four days, a very impressive total of 61 of you have signed-up (30 Supers, 22 Megas, 9 Classics).  Many thanks!

Details were in the November newsletter that I sent out last Friday but here they are again:

The enrolment process is all very much the same as before – on-line enrolment; a priority system for members and a (very) modest increase in subs.  Racing subs go up from £275 to £285.  The “New to Classics” discount of £150 is again being offered.  Social membership stays at £10.  Just click here and follow the instructions!

On-line enrolment opened on Monday (10th Nov) for current racing members to renew.  On 17th Nov, 2008’s Social Members will be able to sign up to race in 2009 and a further week later, 24th Nov, the system will be open for anyone to sign up.  This priority system is to ensure that space is available to those who most “deserve” it.  But please note that you only get a week or two of priority, after that, it’s open season.  I would love to be able to keep a place open, permanently, for all this year’s racing members but it just would not be fair to our potential new members if we had to make some of them wait many months to be certain of their place while some “old hands” make up their minds.

As in previous years, drivers renewing for the same class, who finished in the top ten of their class’s championship table, will automatically be assigned a race number corresponding to their 2008 championship position; other drivers get to choose their race number (which is also your club membership number): first-come, first-served.

Will we fill up and need to decline later enrolments?  Dunno.  Maybe.  There has been a healthy level of interest from a good number of potential new members, novices and otherwise, so it is quite possible that we may feel obliged to decide to “close the books” at some time, to avoid having so many members that there is a danger that not everyone would get to race when and where they want to.  And please don’t think that this only applies to the larger classes (Supers and Megas) – given that we sometimes have to share grid space between classes, it is the total number of enrolled drivers that is most likely to trigger us into closing the books, so please do not delay just because you are in Classics and think that this class will not be over-subscribed.

It could be that we do not close enrolment until well into next year, but a healthy “rush” over the next couple of weeks could mean that we close much earlier.  So please do not delay unnecessarily!

Information about the regs for next year can be seen in our website's Competitor Info section, here.

2009 Calendar?
The FIA changes that I mentioned in the newsletter have delayed publication of BARC's calendar.  But I can say that, as usual, our calendar will be put together to give us a good wide range of circuits - our aim is that, over a few seasons, a Graduate racer can expect to get the opportunity to race at just about every circuit in the land!  Our 2009 objective is to have fourteen races over about nine weekends (so you can work that out - there will probably be four one day single races and five weekend double-headers).  It is our intention that we will have an "exotic" overseas double-header again.  Possibly Spa, again, but we are considering alternatives!  Very provisionally, I expect most, if not all , of the following circuits to figure in the remaining eight UK rounds:  Brands, Silverstone, Snetterton, Croft, Oulton, Rockingham, Pembrey and Cadwell.

Not Racing in 2009?
If you were a 2008 Racing Member but think you may decide not to race with us in 2009, may I suggest that you consider signing up, for a just a tenner, as a "Social Member"?  At least I can then keep in touch with you!  And it would give me a clear indication of your intentions, meaning I won't have to nag you incessantly over the next few weeks to ask if you're going to race next year!

Catering Manager PT? Surely not.

Puts me in mind of those wags at Anglesey who described us in 2000 as the 'Catering Academy'. How we roared.

Bunter on Wednesday, November 12, 2008 at 17:14:23

So Bunts another new catering manager job in the pipeline. Just remember this time you are supposed to feed the guests the food not eat it all !!

PT on Wednesday, November 12, 2008 at 16:57:21

Never tried Richard Curry but would be happy to, as long as the 'Richard content' is not the same as in the rhyming slang???

Jamie Oliver on Wednesday, November 12, 2008 at 16:54:45

Was anyone else expecting some kind of snack/food delivery service? :)

Richard Curry on Wednesday, November 12, 2008 at 16:45:14

As one door closes another opens. After Ron's (further) restraining order, I have a new contact.

Bunter on Wednesday, November 12, 2008 at 15:27:20

Oh yeah, sorry, it was Psycho

Film Fan on Wednesday, November 12, 2008 at 09:15:38

Holyhead Travelodge is only £30/night at the moment

Graeme on Wednesday, November 12, 2008 at 09:08:09

Yeah Nick, but you know better than anyone it's notoriously inaccurate. So there's only two people doing it? Boo!

Andrew Vickers on Tuesday, November 11, 2008 at 21:27:49

If you want to know who's racing at Anglesey, members can view other drivers' on-line race schedules here.

NF chair on Tuesday, November 11, 2008 at 20:43:26

Who else is doing Anglesey? I fancy coming up for the social if there's people staying at Tafarn Y Rhos.

Andrew Vickers on Tuesday, November 11, 2008 at 19:55:50

Anglesey at the end of November..... yummy !! I'm going.

No Grads in the race this year - all too busy toasting JP's (and Sue's) future happiness I guess! We must try to put in a strong showing for next year's pre-dinner kart race. This year's results here.
